Confidentiality is fundamental to the trust and integrity of the Workplace Wellness Employee Assistance Programme. It enables us to create a safe space for users of the service to access the help and support they need within a professional, ethical setting. In order to carry out our responsibilities to you we have to collect a certain amount of information about you. We try to keep this to the minimum and we store it under tight security and encryption controls in the UK. In using our services, you signify your consent to us collecting this information.

We work to keep all servers, applications and databases secure and free from unauthorised access and use, by using physical, administrative and technological measures to protect the information we maintain.

We process all information in accordance with the requirements of Data Privacy legislation as also informed by relevant Health and Safety legislation. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a Data Controller.

In providing our service our promise is that your use of the service will almost always remain a matter between ourselves. There are some (very rare) circumstances when we are required to share some limited information; the situations where confidentiality may need to be broken include the threat of serious harm to self or others, and where we have a statutory obligation to disclose as outlined in Acts of Parliament such as The Prevention of Terrorism Act 1989 (as amended) or the Proceeds of Crime Act 1986 (as amended). We also take a view that, although not bound by statute, we have a moral responsibility to report suspicions or allegations of abuse of vulnerable people. Wherever possible, we would seek the user’s consent before disclosing confidential information or material.

We provide your employer with aggregated data in the form of Management Information. We have strict controls in place to guarantee that no individual user can ever be identified in this process, which is used as a means of demonstrating to the employer the value of the service alongside highlighting some of the trends and patterns that are relevant to the workplace.

Tracking Information 
Workplace Wellness may use non-personal information to create aggregate tracking information reports regarding Web site user demographics and the use of this Web site, and then provide those reports to others. None of the tracking information in the reports is connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users.

Non-Identifiable Information
